Ballentine reports to Giants after being shot

Sixth-round decide Corey Ballentine reported Monday with the remainder of the New York Giants’ rookie class and is partaking in some offseason actions.

The cornerback out of Washburn can take part in conferences and work within the classroom as he rehabs accidents suffered from a capturing on April 28.

Ballentine was shot within the bottom the morning after he was drafted. The Giants predict a full restoration, even when it could take a while. Ballentine’s greatest pal, Dwane Simmons, was killed within the capturing in Topeka, Kansas.

Ballentine was not at rookie minicamp final weekend. The Giants inspired him to remain in Kansas to mourn the loss and have a good time the lifetime of his pal.

Simmons’ funeral passed off that weekend in Kansas.

Ballentine popped into the Giants’ facility late final week, however now he has formally joined his new teammates — veterans and rookies — in New Jersey.

The Giants are within the midst of Part 2 of their offseason exercise packages. OTAs begin subsequent week.
